For the Community - By the Community
Not just Fast but super, Hyperfast.
1000 Mbps. Up and Down.
No overhead lines. No copper or aluminium. Genuine 100% optical fibre all the way to the property.
No-one in our area can offer a service anything like Digabit for a comparable price.
We are local. We monitor the network 24/7 with next-day response for service issues and 24/7 response for core network faults.
Digabit is an independent, not-for-profit, Community Benefit Society (CBS) staffed and run by volunteers.
Digabit are proposing to install a brand new, full fibre to the home (FTTH) network, independent of any existing networks, in Whitlingham, Norfolk. Our route relies on free wayleaves (permission to dig) across landowners’ land, along with financial and volunteer time investment from the community.
Every customer will receive a 1000Mbps symmetric fibre link directly into their property. Current broadband providers usually reserve this type of symmetric service for their business customers – and then only at significant additional expense. We will provide it to everyone.
Our residential service will be £45 per month including VAT* and provides a 1000Mbps symmetric fibre link directly into every property.
Our one-off router setup charge is £150 including VAT.
Businesses with up to 15 staff will pay just £75+VAT per month (£90 including VAT)*.
Our one-off business router setup charge is £250+VAT (£300 including VAT).
Businesses registered at a home address will pay the business tarrif butwill get a free additional line and router for residential use, which can be installed at a different location in the property if you wish (e.g. business line to the rear of the property, residential line to the main property).
Digabit is built on community spirit. We rely on strong volunteer support, as well as help from landowners and investors. In return all profits go back into the community.
* If you need more than one IP address, there will be an additional charge.
The only additional cost – which may be done by the home owner – is digging in the duct across your property from the boundary.
For homeowners and businesses, keeping money within the local rural community may be an important aspiration for them.
We commit to keeping as much money as possible within the local and rural communities from where it was generated. We also use local contractors wherever possible.

For businesses and Government organisations, investing in Social Enterprises may be an important part of their Corporate Social Responsibility policy. In particular, The Social Value Act, which came into force in January 2013, requires public bodies, including councils, to consider choosing providers based on the social value created in an area and not on cost alone.
You can support the #BuySocial initiative by sourcing your broadband from Digabit.
